A kitchen is judged in the third year, not the first week. These are rooms we still visit.

Hawthorn East · 2025

The Long Bench

A 4.2 metre single run replacing a partition wall. Elba marble, rift-sawn oak, no upper cabinets at all — storage moved into a full-height wall of tall units at the far end.

Fitzroy North · 2025

Umbra Terrace

A 2.6 metre-wide Victorian galley. Green-black lacquer on every surface so the eye stops reading edges, with unlacquered brass to break it up.

Brighton · 2024

Quiet Island

Full-height stone to the ceiling behind the cooktop. The pantry, bin and small-appliance bench all disappear behind a single pocket-door wall.

Kew · 2024

Second Draft

A remodel of a remodel — a ten-year-old kitchen with good bones and bad ergonomics. We kept the carcasses and changed everything you touch.

Four Stools

Designed backwards from a family of five eating breakfast at the same time. Everything else followed the seating.

The Dining Kitchen

No separate dining room. The island is the table, so it sits 60 mm lower than standard and the stone overhangs by 400 mm.

Brighton

Stone taken to the ceiling, so the room has no horizon line to break it.

How we choose

We turn down about a third of the projects we are asked to quote. Usually because the budget and the brief have not met yet.

Kew — the second remodel of the same room. Carcasses kept, everything you touch replaced.
Carlton — the seating came first. The rest of the plan followed four stools.

Availability

We take twelve projects a year

That is a deliberate ceiling, not a boast. It is the number our two install teams can run without a project lead being spread across three sites at once. Current start dates are roughly four months out.
